United States Marine Corps USMC Special Operations USMC Scout Sniper Association Marine Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation Today we Remember the life of SGT Tom Spitzer. “Sergeant Thomas Z. Spitzer was a PIG with 1/7 Scout Sniper Platoon when he was killed in action in Helmand Afghanistan on June 25, 2014. He was due to be married to his fiancée shortly after the deployment. He was a great man, a true friend, and so selfless that he was always the first to volunteer when something needed to be done no matter how tired he was. I’m honored to have known him. On a training mission in 29 Palms we were hiking up an insanely steep ridge on the mountain side just after our insert. He was the point man and I was right behind him carrying the SASR. Everyone knows the point man has the lightest pack, and mine was definitely not. As we reached a false summit with so much more to go, he turned around and looked at me and said “lets go slow poke” We laughed at the irony in his statement and kept climbing. To this day when I’m hurting trying to get up a hill or to continue pushing on a long ruck, I think of that moment and it always makes me smile.” @ Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms

I became an infantryman with 2nd bat 7th mar about 4 years after this. Some older guys who were platoon sgts and gunny’s knew and served with him. It was those stories early on that helped prepare me for Afghanistan shortly after. It tends to be the brightest lights that burn out too quickly. Semper fi and we will see you on the other side brother.

A wise man once told me that when you lose someone close, you at first feel grief and sadness. As time goes by, whether it be a short time or a long time, when you think of that person a smile will come to your face and you will know that your love for that person was real and it always will be. Semper Fi Marine. Rest in power.

Good morning my peoples blessings upon you, family, friends, and foes alike. Thank you LORD for including my family and I on your wake up list. Father God thank you for watching over my children especially Michael, I know you are working in the background. You will use him for Kingdom Business. #WeArePR #GODFIRST #RISETOGRACE #HUMANSHELPINGHUMANS #SAVEOURYOURTH #BREAKINGBARRIERS 2 Corinthians 5:7For we walk by faith, not by sight. You will eat the fruit of what you say! Is it always easy to say what God said instead of what you see with your eyes? No, it’s not. But as Kingdom people, we walk by faith and not by sight. I know it’s not easy, but today, keep speaking God’s Word. What you see will align with what you say!Father, I thank You for Your love and mercy. I praise You. It’s not always easy to speak Your Word when my situation says the opposite of it. But I choose to walk by faith today. In Jesus’ name, amen!Rise To Grace...

Your crisis is a privilege God has given you to experience a deeper realm of miracle-working power. Get up and start shouting! You have been chosen for a miracle. Faith must have the incubator of impossibility to grow. Don’t panic. This trouble is just a test – a test with a reward. So don’t stop short of the prize. The greater the conflict, the greater the conquest.

Naval Special Warfare Center The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum Repost He responded "I'M TRYING!" the instructor then exploded: "There is no try. we DO NOT try. Your Teammates do not need you to TRY to cover their backs. Your swim buddy does not need you to TRY to rescue him on a dive. Your platoon does not need you to TRY to shoot straight. There is no TRY! There is only DO. DO, or DO NOT! There is no TRY!'"

Sergeant First Class Alwyn C. Cashe pulled six soldiers from the burning hulk of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle, while himself on fire and under fire from insurgents who set the ambush. He willingly sacrificed his life to rescue his fellow soldiers. On October 17, 2005, SFC Cashe manned the turret of a Bradley Fighting Vehicle when it hit an IED. The bomb ignited a fuel cell on board, engulfing the vehicle in flames and showering the crew with fuel. SFC Cashe left his hatch unharmed, but drenched in fuel. At the front of the vehicle, the driver sat in his hatch surrounded in fire. Cashe yanked the driver out to the ground and extinguished the flames on his body. As he worked, enemy rounds cracked overhead and impacted around the vehicle in a complex ambush. Ignoring the gunfire, Cashe saw the troop hatch at the rear of the vehicle open. Smoke and flame poured out of the inner compartment, still occupied by 7 soldiers. Cashe ran to the opening and reached inside. His soaked uniform ignited as he pulled soldiers to safety. He returned inside the vehicle a second time, bringing more soldiers out. By the third time SFC Cashe entered the Bradley, his entire uniform burned on his body. More Bradleys arrived shortly after the explosion. Despite suffering 2nd and 3rd degree burns over more than 70% of his body, Cashe refused medical evacuation until all his soldiers were treated first. Six soldiers lived as a direct result of his actions. Cashe returned to the US for treatment, and passed away from his burns three weeks later in November 2005. For his selfless actions, knowing exactly what the consequences could be, SFC Cashe was posthumously awarded the Silver Star. The medal is currently being contested, and the case being made for an upgrade to the Medal of Honor. Cashe was a veteran of the Gulf War and two combat deployments in Iraq. He was 35 years old at the time of his death.#battlesightzero #bzo #history #military #militaryhistory #veteran #veterans #america #army #usarmy #oif #operationiraqifreedom #gwot #silverstar

Warrior Rescue (501c3 Nonprofit) Unfortunately this is true. If you’re in leadership and you’re experiencing or experienced this, don’t worry. It happens to all of us. Let me know in the comments if you’ve experienced this. The good news is that there is only 1 person that is loyal to you no matter how you treat him. In fact he died for you. Jesus !!! Amen !!
