@JenWesthoven This is why for the past several years I have my own cable modem and WiFi router. I’m not paying @comcast $12/monthly for their “Residential Gateway” It’s bad enough they hold a monopoly in my area for cable. Plus I like to have full control of my router.

@BorderlineClown That's how it is here, forced upon us as the only choice. Closer to town they have options, 8 miles down the road they have options yet only #Comcast here. It's getting extremely affordable so streaming services are looking better than having the second package only for TV.

@comcast Oh by the way, the internet is totally at a standstill, so what does this “refresh” have anything to do with it. And another thing, we don’t have Xfinity X1 service, just digital cable service...

@Xfinity I mean obviously. More than once. We have restarted the box, ran a troubleshoot, had someone come out. They swear it’s fine but it’s not working. We can’t even connect to it at the moment.

@socalsalty Our cable provider is Xfinity and can stream anywhere with a VPN service. Otherwise for most sports Xfinity requires you’re on your home Wi-Fi.
